Aggression

>> 20090120

So as I mentioned before I was a witness of a humiliating siuation Saturday evening.

I was on my way home from a meeting and as I was travelling in the last wagon of the underground, a young group of people got on.

There were not so many passengers in the train. A good fifteen maybe. And I was sitting in the edge with a lady in front of me and a couple standing rigth in front of me. Yes, the couple: maybe 15-17 years old youngsters. Emos. Both the girl and the guy looked weird. But they were nice. And in love. They both looked rather ridiculous with their straigthen blondish hair and the guy had a huge funny curved nose. They were hugging close and kissing gently.

And so the group of four was a bit drunk. Maybe not all of them but one was quite drunk. He was loud and talking about his mobile and stuff... was not aware of it as I had my iPod plugged in and tried to concentrate on the music I had on playing.

And then suddenly the guy came to the couple and asked them: 'Hey, are the two of you girls?'
The couple looked up (esp the girl seemed frightened but the guy was just stupidly smiling - as he could do nothign else) and so this big guy asked them again: 'Are both of u girls?' and he grabbed the guy's head and loudly said: 'I hate gay, u lesbians fuck!' and hit the guy's head.

This was the moment when I got a bit shocked and couldn't decide what to do. And now I keep telling myself that I most probably would have stood up and tried to stop the attacker somehow (I was right behind him and he was just a little taller than me and I think I would have had quite a good chance). But then one of the attacker's friend jumped there and stoped him thussing him back to the empty seats. But it was too late already. The guy was shouting and yelling: 'I hate u gay!!!! I'll get u! I'Ll kick your ass! U fucking lesbians!' and so on... at the next stop the couple ran away (the girl looked really shocked while the guy was still smiling... probably also because of the shock).

And from that station till the one I got off (and the attacker's branch as well) there was this shouting conversation going on between the aggressive drunk one and his fellow, who stopped him: the one stopping the drunk was shouting loudly if his buddy was gone mad to attack someone on the underground. The other kept shouting back: 'They were fucking gay! I hate gay!' and the other kept shaking him and saying: 'what the fuck? They are just human as well. And what if ur son would be gay, eh?' the other: 'My son will not be gay! Never!I'll raise him and teach him as a good parent and won't let him be gay!' The defender replied still yelling: 'Oh, yes? You think it is just like that? How do u know ur son woN't be gay? And if he would?' 'Then I would beat him up good! He will not be gay!'

So and this kind of 'conversation' went on for a while... And then the only girl in that branch went there too and said: why do we need to this now? please let's have fun, and doN't argue about this anymore...'

What? I asked myself? The 'defender' was really out himself yellign at the big drunk one, who was the attacker. The attacker already kept saying to his friend 'Okay, buddy, I love, u, I just hate gay! So Come on calm down!' Like a minute ago it wouldn't be himself who attacked a 7 year younger couple broad daylight. Or early evening.. anyhow.. the girl from the group hugged them all and when they took off the 'defender' was still saying (not yellign anymore) that the other one was crazy to do this... So at the end it was good to see that not all of them were so mad to attack anyone... just for their look.

Well, I hope that the attacker got attacked later on by a group of gay bears and was raped in the ass well!

Later as I had some time to think of this I was trying to analise what I could have done if the 'defender' hadn't shown up.
I doN't exactly know... but for now I think I'm good and brave enough to doN't let sg like this happen. I must go back and continue my aikido I think to get some more knowledge about how to defend myself too, but in this case I could have had enough chance to stop the attacker... who knows... I'm glad I never had to try it. But I also feel ashamed a bit that that couple now had this experience and noone on the train raised any voice about the situation...

I'll not let this happen again... At least I'll try to do the best according to the situation.
Fuckers.

Well. I really sorry something like that happens to innocent people. And the situation was kinda silly, 'cause those were not two girls, but you know.. if you dress like emo in a country where it's not an acceptable social kind of outfit what would you expect? anyway, what I really want to say, that such fuckers like the one who started all the fighting on a subway do not really care about the reason. I bet he would start fighting if that couple would be gypsy, MSZP, FIDESZ, ferencvaros football team fans, etc.. (underline one). What I mean that people who come from low social class may seem and look normal, but they are always looking for a reason to let out their aggression. The same stuff happened this summer, during the MTV building assault and all the way long. So unfortunately it's a little bit more deep and complex problem that just hatred against one small and insignificant group of people called homosexuals.

Uhm... Might be true. But I have a quite different point of view. And as we talked about it before I don't think our views would match about it any soon... :) MTV's attack was sg completely different in my reading. And this incident on the underground... (with accepting your opinion that u think that guy was doing it for his low social skills and alcohol effects) I DO think he wouldn't have attacked any other type there that time, simply cause he was with party and those others were 'normal'. So... argues shall not go one. We differ
